Say What You Mean And Mean What You Say

Ive always been fascinated but human traits when it comes to doing what you actually said you would do. I have two great examples for you. You meet someone and make arrangements to soon go out on a date. As the time approaches you are still in communication but you then get a vibe that this really isn’t going to happen. On your hunch you ask if everything is ok and are we still going to meet and the usual answer is “yes sure everything is ok”. You know what the next part is we didn’t meet as something came up. Basically this person knew all along they were not going to meet but led you along.

Example 2. You are in contact with another person and once again made arrangements to go out on a date. Through either a few emails and maybe a few phone calls once agin it is all going well then this person does the complete opposite of what the other person did and actually has the balls to say “no”. Well you are in shock and think this person is a nasty piece of work because they have the balls to say no to you.

Alas no one wins.

  1. My mother gave me a great piece of advice when I was dating.

She said, no matter how much you like a person, if they don’t do what they say they are going to do, then they are worthless to you.

If they don’t do what they say from the beginning when the “bloom is on the rose”… then what chance do you have 5 years down the road when there are issues and you need to trust in that person????
